The 530 is really an AGP x4 graphics, also designed to accept AGP pro, and will accept x8 cards, but will default the bandwidth to the x4 speed: I previously owned a 530 with a Quadro FX 1000 (AGP x8) and never had a problem. The only issue is that some x8 cards power requirements exceeds the 530 graphics slot.
